- The Super Bowl win in 2013. The Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII, capping off a magical season that saw them go 13-3 and earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
- The Legion of Boom. The Seahawks' defense was one of the most dominant in the NFL in the early 2010s, led by stars like Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor. They were known for their ability to create turnovers and make big plays.
- Russell Wilson. Wilson has been the Seahawks' quarterback since 2012, and he's one of the best in the NFL. He's a dynamic playmaker who can make plays with his arm and his legs. He's also a leader on and off the field.
- Pete Carroll. Carroll has been the Seahawks' head coach since 2010, and he's helped turn the team into a perennial contender. He's a defensive-minded coach who emphasizes physicality and toughness. He's also a great motivator who knows how to get the most out of his players.
The Bad
The Seahawks have also had some tough times. They've had some disappointing seasons, they've lost some big games, and they've had some off-field issues. Here are some of the lowlights:
- The Super Bowl loss in 2005. The Seahawks lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10 in Super Bowl XL, ending a season that saw them go 13-3 and earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
- The "Beast Quake" game. The Seahawks lost to the St. Louis Rams 23-17 in the 2005 playoffs, despite Marshawn Lynch's iconic run that became known as the "Beast Quake." Lynch ran for 67 yards on the play, breaking multiple tackles and sending the crowd into a frenzy. However, the Seahawks ultimately lost the game.
- The off-field issues. The Seahawks have had a number of off-field issues in recent years, including arrests, suspensions, and domestic violence allegations. These issues have damaged the team's reputation and made it difficult for fans to support the team.
The Ugly
The Seahawks have had some truly ugly moments in their history. These are the moments that make fans cringe and wish they could forget. Here are some of the worst:
- The "Fail Mary" game. The Seahawks lost to the Green Bay Packers 28-22 in the 2012 playoffs, thanks to a controversial pass interference call that allowed the Packers to score a touchdown with just seconds remaining. The call was so bad that it led to rule changes in the NFL.
- The "Kam Chancellor hit". Chancellor delivered a devastating hit on 49ers receiver Vernon Davis in the 2013 NFC Championship Game, knocking Davis out of the game. The hit was so violent that it led to speculation that Chancellor should be suspended. However, he was not suspended, and he went on to play a key role in the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory.
- The "Marshawn Lynch fumble". Lynch fumbled the ball at the goal line in the 2014 Super Bowl, giving the New England Patriots the opportunity to win the game. The fumble was a crushing blow to the Seahawks, who had been on the verge of winning their second Super Bowl in a row.
The Seattle Seahawks have had a lot of ups and downs over the years. They've had some great moments, they've had some tough times, and they've had some truly ugly moments. But through it all, they've remained one of the most popular teams in the NFL. Seahawks fans are passionate and loyal, and they'll continue to support the team through thick and thin.
